Woosong Festival on August 15th
The college president (Jeong, Sangjik) successfully proceeded the Woosong Festival. Students from different high schools and middle schools participated the whole event held on festive Thursday during 2019 Woosong Festival.
On August 15th, Many students from Daejeon and Chuncheong provinces along with high school and middle school students from Cheonan, Chungjoo, Daejeon, Gaeryoung, Masan, Changwon, Goomi, Nonsan Pyungtaek, Asan, Bundang, Daegoo. Jeongeup, Gwangju, Yesan, Jeungpyung, Busan, and Gimhae participated dance and musical performance.
The grand prize (Team Competion) went to All That Street (Song, Jonghun and 23 others) and Kim Dohwan (High School Senior) won the grand prize in individual performance. and the Silver medal went to Kim, Yerin( High School Senior)
In the team performance event, ART.B Unit (Lee, Yumi and five others) won the gold prize and second prize went to Special Connection. (Song, Yerim and 10 others) Men of action, (Seo, Jungjun and 8 others)and Miss Molly (Song Yunji and 10 others) won the bronze medal. Jibyjiby (Lee, Yeseul and other 7), Kijengideul (Kim, Eunji and 2 others) won the participation awards. Along with these artists J-One (Lee Minju and 18 others) won the gold prize in K-Pop Performance. The Silver medal went to Vivid (Lee Gaeun and other 2) and Mental Blow (Kim, Bohyun and six others) won the bronze medals.

The festival had the best composer event on this year, and Choi, Gunhee (High School Senior) won the gold prize, and the silver medal went to Kim, Taehoon (High School Senior) The bronze medal went to Choi, Yujung (High School Senior) and Kim, Hansom (High School Senior). The participation awards went to Chae, Hayeon (High School Senior) , Lee Yunsu(High School Senior) .

The Woosong festival is to find and develop a talent and career assistance to students and gives chances to adults to teach and guide musical stage arts that the department of practical arts host every year.
This is the 21st event hosted by the department of practical art at Woosong Information College, and just reorganized into the department of Global Practical Art this year. The event emphasized more practical usage of arts and supports developing the regional culture

Dean of the department of Global Practical Arts, Professor Kim, Hyeji stated that she will assist and support youth groups with full of dreams and hopes. On the other hand, award winners in 2019 Woosong Festival will be supported with scholarships and other means of assistance to develop Korea's practical dance performance and to improve a real talent.
