Practical expert training for expertise and practical skill in firefighting

In order to meet the advanced industrial society, we aim to cultivate professional experts in the field of firefighting. We aim to educate firefighting, firefighting facilities designing, constructing and inspecting, and managing the fire protection of buildings.

After graduation, special employment of grade 9 firefighting civil servants (about 556 graduates are working as civil servants nationwide)

Introduction

This Fire Safety Management Department is a department opened up in 1987 for the demand of future social safety. As the level of living has improved due to economic growth, the importance of academic theories and practical knowledge required to protect people's lives and properties from various disasters, including fire, has increased. As a result, prevention of fire, fire suppression, prevention of major disasters and firefighting professionals who have the ability to respond quickly to such problems became important.

In addition, from 2004 to 2006, the Nuri project was selected as a firefighting equipment manpower training project, and training equipment and e-learning facilities were fully equipped for each training room to maximize the learning effect. In particular, our mission is to be a specialized training institute for firefighters and civil servants. We have the longest tradition of 22 years in Korea and the best firefighting officer passing rate. Approximately 556 of the graduates were employed as private employees or public employees, and alumni were dispersed among the fire departments throughout the country. They are committed to their respective duties. Approximately 40 of them are qualified as fire engineers and firefighters. .

This department is composed of civil servant examination and certification subject class. It is possible to study the field of firefighting widely, and it is possible to study firefighting equipment industrial engineer (mechanical and electrical), dangerous materials managing industrial engineer, gas industrial engineer, fire safety education institute, (Korean, English, Fire Relations Act, Introduction to Small Business), Specialized Examination Courses (Introduction to Korean Language, Introduction to Small Business, Fire Protection Laws) are operated together.

Currently, there are more than 60 fire safety management departments in Korea (The Fire Safety Management Department of Woosong College was opened in 1987 with the best firefighting officer passing rate).

Approximately 556 graduates are working as firefighting officers. In 2010, 16 people passed the firefighting civil service examination.
