Establishment Purpose

Opened on February 6, 1996, the Woosong library is an ultra-modern building with two floors underground and 9 stories above ground and 6,200 square meters in size. It has a seating capacity of 2,000 seats, a seating capacity of 400 seats; it is the largest library in the middle of the world, including the Hwasong Art Museum. It is equipped with cutting-edge computer network to connect high-speed information network, various books and educational books as well as functions as domestic and foreign information centers with abundant materials and collections such as major books and periodicals, It was established to support the academic staff of the academy as well as academic activities in the community.


Facility Status

The Woosong library has 400,000 books and 244 serials in Korea, including monographs (Western and Oriental) and various reference materials. The building size is 2 floors underground, 9 floors above ground, 6,200 pyeong per annum.

Book rental (1st floor)

  • Please note: Students must bring their student ID or reading license when entering the library.

Information lounge (1st floor)

General Reading Room (3F)

  • Hours: 06:00 to 23:00 (open 24 hours during the test)- Service: Self-study
  • Notice
    • If you use the reading room, have a student ID or a reading license
    • All buildings in the library No smoking area
    • Do not bring food, beverages, coffee, cans, sweets, etc.
    • To leave only personal things without using them
    • Acting to replace the seat
    • Chatting, disturbing acts that interfere with the learning of other users

Small hall (B1)

  • Books from Archive room on 6F cannot be rented out
  • Services: Support for school and department events, external agencies

Search for books and information

  • Books and non-books stored in this library can be retrieved or used on the PC for searching the information lounge and reading room on the first floor.

Book rental and extension of rental period

  • 5 books for 1 person can be issued (7 day extension per one time, can be extended only once)
  • In case breaking the due date, penalty fee of 50 won per day per one book
  • In case of loss or damage of data, original price of the book as penalty fee
  • In case of non-performance of the above items, issue of graduation certificate will be held.

Rental qualification

  • Students of this school (Woosong Information College, Woosong College) who have enrolled as students and faculty members every semester.

Notice

  • The student card should be carried at all times because the student card must be presented to the librarian when checking out the library and books.
  • Student card cannot be transferred to another person, and responsible for all accidents caused by loss.
  • If the problem is caused by renting or stealing a student's card, the user will be responsible for all the expenses.
