Full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing Science at Woosong Information College (WIC)

Woosong Information College (WIC) of Nursing Science is looking for full-time assistant professors.

Start date: 2023-09-01

Contract and Salary:

These are full-time positions to start at a date based on mutual consent. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Daejeon, South Korea

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidates would have:

●     A Ph.D.

●     At least 3 years of Nursing experience or related experience at a hospital or in the field of health care.

●     Nurse license holder

Core Teaching Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will teach practicum courses in:

●     Basic Nursing Theory and Practice

●     Integrative Nursing Skills Practice (Injection administration, vital check, etc.)

●     Patient physical condition check Practice

●     English for Nursing

Department Description:

Woosong Information College’s Department of Nursing Science has the largest number of students and we are the only four-year course department in the College.  The admission each year is highly competitive and we provide high-quality, practice- based education.  We take a great pride in high employment rate of our graduates at various University hospitals in Korea every year

Successful candidates will:

●     Have a Ph.D. in Nursing or Nursing related field.

●     Have at least 3 years of experience as a Nurse.

●     Nurse license holder

●     Be versatile with Microsoft Office, including Word Excel, and PowerPoint;

●     Be able to communicate effectively in English, with strong verbal presentation skills.

Ideal candidates will also have:

●     Experience with classroom teaching, training, curriculum development and implementation;

●     An understanding of and commitment to the mission of the school;

●     A demonstrated commitment to student learning;

●     Experience using a variety of teaching and assessment techniques, especially including technology, that enhance student success;

●     A strong ability to work well with people of all ages, from academically, culturally, and economically diverse backgrounds;

●     The ability to work well as a member of an international, multi-cultural team; and

●     The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to achieve high-quality learning outcomes and student satisfaction.
