Woosong Information College Awarded Grand Prize for Education Contribution
Recognized for free semester system and involvement with high schools by the ministry of education
Woosong Information College (College President Jeong Sangjik) received the grand prize for the 8th Education Contribution Awards of Republic of Korea in IlsanKantex on October 23rd Wednesday. This award is given by the ministry of education for contribution of education to recognized institutes, groups and individuals, and Woosong Information College was awarded grand prize for college division of this award. Woosong has been promoting free semesters and career involvement with highs schools since 2015 and this was the main reason for the grand prize awarded by Ministry of Education. Woosong has been provided opportunities to 16,000 students for last five years. This opportunity has been provided to experience in major fields to numerous students and the school has worked very hard to let the students find their dreams and talents. .

Woosong Information College has signed MOU with the department of the education of Daejeon city and actively involved with free semesters and other programs since 2015. The college has been selected as the most excellent college for free semesters program in 2015 by the education department of Daejeon. It also has been recognized as the free semesters providing institution in 2016.
In addition, the college has provided free opportunities for high school students to experience a variety of careers and major involvement in every third Saturdays since 2016 so it was awarded by the chamber of commerce as Education Contribution institute. In 2017 Woosong has been awarded by the minister of education for activating the free semester program
Particularly in 2018, the college has been recognized formally as the education contribution institute by the ministry of education and Korea foundation for the advancement of science and creativity. The college is deeply involved with exhibitions and forums for education contribution and firmly holds the image of the advanced education contributor.
The college president Jeong Sangjik commented that the college is contributing not only for high school students but expands its contribution to the ones who needs most care and consideration. The practical and useful contribution is helping the contributors and many students learning to share their learning is a big advantage for the school and donors. |
