Established in 1975, the department boasts over 46 years of history and has produced more than 10,000 graduates, many of whom play key roles in industries and research institutions across the country
Unlike in the past, today’s mechanical industry is driven by advanced computer-based equipment and technologies. This is a promising high-tech field, especially as we move further into an information- and knowledge-based society. The department offers two majors: Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Maintenance, and proudly boasts high full-time employment rates.
Like the saying “no industry without machines,” this major opens doors to all sectors. Students learn mechanical theory, computer skills, CAD/CAM, design, product processing and production, automation systems operation and maintenance — all through practical, industry-responsive training.
Cars are now essential to daily life. This major provides intensive field-based training in automotive theory, tuning, inspection and maintenance, and advanced fault diagnostics — preparing students to immediately enter the automotive industry as skilled professionals.
It is a premier department that trains professionals with both theoretical expertise and hands-on technical skills in high-tech fields that will lead the future of the machinery industry.
To help address employment challenges, this on-and-off campus (JT) program allows students to earn wages and scholarships while studying.
